Review "Boss of the Cop and the Devil" - The flow of life leads to the good and evil

After a series of successful rambo style action films (Outlaws, Gangs re-appear, The muscular guy story) in 2018, Korean box office king Ma Dong-seok continued to participate in an action film. Detective action based on real events with titles like Cop and Devil. Highly appreciated at this year's Canes Film Festival, the film promises to bring dramatic films made of Kim Chi origin for the audience. Check out the movie Boss Cop and Devil before going to the cinema to enjoy the film.

Cop and The Devil (The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil) is a film directed by Lee Won-tae with the participation of current Korean box office king Ma Dong-seok. After receiving a lot of positive reviews from critics at this year's Cannes Film Festival, Boss Cop and Devil was also bought the rights to the film script by producer Sylvester Stallone (Rambo, Rocky).

The story of the Boss and the Devil revolves around a serial killer in South Korea in 2005 that caused multiple murders in various places. In one case, unfortunately his object is a tycoon boss. However, he still makes this guy sell and die. After recovering, the gangster has contracted with the police to hunt this devil.

As a film based on real events, the script has changed quite a bit, making the story more action-oriented than criminal psychology. Thanks to that, the story is dramatic and appealing to the audience from beginning to end.

A combination of gangster and detective elements, the film is fast, dramatic and thrilling. The later, the story is pushed faster and thick action scenes filled with eyes. Although there are still psychological segments, typical people in Korean films, but the director chooses to quickly handle this detail in Yesmovies. Instead, the final paragraph focuses on the rushing scenes and how to clarify the case as well as solve the case between the parties.

Regarding action elements, in order to show the underworld of a gangster, the film has a lot of bloody and violent scenes. However, through censorship, these scenes were cut "mercilessly". Compared to John Wick certainly could not shoot as much but the Boss Cops and Demons were cut so excessively that many viewers could not understand what was happening.

The film does not focus on how gangs operate or how police play "snakes". Inside the chase action is a message "don't look at the face and catch the screen". Being a policeman is not necessarily good, being a boss is not necessarily bad and being a devil is not sure about people. Although the message is nothing new because it has appeared in quite a lot of Korean criminal films, but with a new way of expressing and being labeled based on a true story, the film has created a lot of emotions for viewers.

The three main characters of the film are the police officer, the gangster boss and the devil, each with a unique personality that represents the ironic opposite sides of society. The police are reckless, overturned; Boss is superficially "shouting fire" but is quite timid, useless, and pervert is acting dangerous, superhuman but in fact there is no explanation or ideal at all.

Reviews Boss, Cop and Devil is a crime-thriller movie that has novel content and many surprises. However, due to too much trimming in the censorship stage, the experience of watching movies in theaters did not really satisfy viewers. You should consider before buying a movie ticket to enjoy this movie.
